Esprits Frappeurs Live At Mutek 2012 Complete

For this concert, all music was created by gesture controlled/motion sensors modular analog/digital synthesizers. And voice, as usual. The process are very clear in part 1. I used  a Kinect via an ExpertSleepers ES-4 CV controller to modulate a Phonogene, resonators and filters, Alexandre had an Iphone taped to a wooden stick and would use the accelerometer data to controle his sounds processes. The piece is in 3 parts: Invocation (part 1), Entering the Spirit World (1:30 of part 2), Awakening the Entity (6:00 of part 2 till end). A possession happens at 11:15 in part 2. Karl was inside the tent/spirit using 2 vintage 16mm projectors with film loops and controlling strobe lights.

Beautifully shot by Jane L Kasowicz
